Very nice cabin in a peaceful surrounding

  Excellent location for seeing all kinds of wildlife (especially the black swans!). Perfect for relaxing by the lake and walking around the grounds. Plenty of opportunities to head out on... read more walks and cycling - and close enough to Haverhill town if wanted to head out to shops/restaurants/pubs etc. Many other nearby towns/villages also well worth visiting (especially Clare which we enjoyed).

  Great location and the hut is perfectly located around the lake. Close to Cambridge city, quiet and peaceful and the hot tub is a good treat!

  Cosy, comfortable and clean accommodation, well equipped and all very well thought out. Thoroughly enjoyed our few days in the Shepherd's Hut, saw some beautiful sunrises over the lake. Would highly recommend for a 'get away from it all' break.

  The stay was great! Place was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Bed was comfortable and the hut so cozy. The hot tub was amazing especially when it was so easy to... read more empty and refill so we can have a clean experience every time (not like other airbnbs when by the end of the 2nd day hot tub is out the question ?).

Advice: take your own dressing gown and a spare towel for using the hot tub as they only give you one towel. Take some blankets with you to wrap up in the night whilst enjoying the log fire outside underneath the beautiful star-ey night!

We made use of the sauna and hammocks, again lovely to use with clear instructions. The hosts were responsive and set everything up well for our arrival.

Would recommend staying here for a relaxing countryside getaway.
