The location is great and so peaceful, and the facilities... read more were perfect. We loved the hot tub and would definitely recommend adding this on, and really enjoyed cooking on the specially made bbq.

The communication from the hosts was also absolutely spot on, and instructions given for absolutely everything. 5/5!

The Shepard’s Hut is the best small space we have ever stayed in, and the shower was the... read more biggest we have ever had, I would definitely give it 5+*. All the fittings were of great quality and the bed very comfortable, and the little treat in the fridge was a lovely touch. Personally I could have done with a handrail somewhere on the steps as I am a bit unsteady. Otherwise it was perfect and we loved it. Thank you very much xx

Despite there being two other huts near us, the place felt extremely private and peaceful. The hot tub and sauna was way better than expected. Recommend 100%.

  Excellent location for seeing all kinds of wildlife (especially the black swans!). Perfect for relaxing by the lake and walking around the grounds. Plenty of opportunities to head out on... read more walks and cycling - and close enough to Haverhill town if wanted to head out to shops/restaurants/pubs etc. Many other nearby towns/villages also well worth visiting (especially Clare which we enjoyed).
