The bed was very comfortable and it was beautiful to wake up to 360° views of countryside. Perfect little retreat with all the right comforts. Half way through our second night we purchased more wood for the hot tub, this was a really quick and easy process. We would love to stay again!

  Great location and the hut is perfectly located around the lake. Close to Cambridge city, quiet and peaceful and the hot tub is a good treat!

Would recommend getting wood. We brought extra and still needed more as we used the fire pit too. We shall definitely come back!! Thank you for having us. A really lovely thoughtful get away, loved the little extras like towels and washing up kit set. WiFi was bonus. Well done guys. Xx

Easy to use hot tub but I suggest bringing sliders/flip flops for when you're in and out. 100% worth the money if your looking for a calm & relaxing get away. Would happily visit here again in the future. ?

  The owner was really nice and super helpful. The cabin was peaceful but very very cold (however we did come on a freezing weekend) and only discovered the portable heater... read more the next day. The shower wasn’t always hot and was mainly cold so we had to ask him to come and sort it and he said it has something to do with others using the hot tub so we had to wait but he came after and sorted it out straight away. Because of the freezing weather we were without water all night but it returned in the morning. The water pressure was also not good very little water was coming out of the shower. I can imagine in the summer this place would be 10/10 apart from the shower. The host allowed us a late check in as no one else was coming that day which was very kind and we are very grateful. Overall he was very kind and immediately responsive and the place was comfortable and cozy!

Thoroughly enjoyed our few days in the Shepherd's Hut, saw some beautiful sunrises over the lake. Would highly recommend for a 'get away from it all' break.

  Wonderful stay, the hot tub stayed hot for hours. We cycled and there are lots of nice villages to go through. Felt a million miles from London.
